Physiotherapy is a healthcare profession concerned with human function, movement and maximising potential.
At the Lilley Clinic we are all chartered physiotherapists and members of the Health Professions Council with approximately 15 years experience each in both the NHS and private sector.
We use a holistic approach by looking at the whole person, taking into account previous medical history, work and lifestyle before making a diagnosis and devising a treatment plan. We aim to facilitate the body’s own healing responses to promote recovery. Preventative measures are used within our treatment plans to minimise the possibility of recurrence.
We use traditional skills such as:
- Massage
- Mobilisations/manipulations
- Electrotherapy
- Exercise/movement
We also provide the extended skills of:
- Acupuncture
- Pilates/Core Stability
There are many conditions that can be helped by physiotherapy including the following:
- Back and neck problems
- Joint problems
- Injuries/Fractures
- Strains and Sprains
- Sports Injuries
- Posture and work related problems
- general rehabilitation following surgery
The clinic encourages continuing professional development so we are continually broadening our skill base ensuring evidence based practise.
